Call for papers
The Local Branch of the Moroccan Association of Teachers of English (MATE )cordially invites you to submit your proposals for workshops and interactive presentations focusing on the following theme :'towards more effective collaborative EFL & ESL learning and teaching'
Why this theme?

There are many reasons why collaboration contributes to learning. The main reason is that students learn not only by themselves and from their teachers , but also from their peers. When students review and reflect on their learning processes together, they can pick up strategies and methods from one another. As teachers , the more we know and the better we can deliver it, the more students s are likely to learn.

Collaboration is one of the best ways to add to what we know  and therefore do our best for the students  in your charge. With collaboration, we get to know and trust others who share similar interests. In turn, there are opportunities for both professional development and career advancement
.
We are deeply convinced that the choice of this theme will contribute to improving the way we teach and the way our students learn.

Please find call4pprs20081.doc]the attached application form[undefined, fill it in and send it back before May 4th , 2008

Cordially,
Mbarek AKADDAR  Tadla-Azilal MATE President

Some American teachers want to participate in Benimellal MATE conference
Hi every body,
This is to remind you that the middle school teacher training in USA is very important. So don't hesitate to apply for it. Iam participating in one now in Washington and I have learnt a lot.
To Si Mbark, you asked me to invite some American teachers to BeniMellal regional conference. Sure, I invited some from the high school I am teaching in in Washington. But they want to know the exact date of the conference. They are very practical.Next week I will visit the university of Washington and I will invite others.

Recommendation for middle school teachers to participate in that training in USA
Hi every body,
I am writing this e-mail to advise middle school teachers to participate in that training in USA.
You will have a marvellous experience. I am living that experience now in some American schools in Washington DC. You will contact different people from differnt nations. In a school I am teaching right now ,there are more than 20 nations. I happen to meet  and teach even some Moroccan students. You see the world is small. What is worthnoting is that all students (regardless of their races and religion) want to know Islam and the Arabic language. And this is a project I am implementing now in an American school. I think it is the mission of teachers to promote that cultural dialogue and see what is going on in the other world.
I am attaching some pictures of American teachers and students to see how they appreciate and listen to the other. Also remember that education can repair what politics may spoil.
